Meet The Dental Assistants
At Auld Family Dentistry, we’re more than just a dental office — we’re your neighbors, your friends, and your partners in lifelong oral health. Meet the skilled dental assistants who work right alongside our doctors, keeping you comfortable and your care moving smoothly through every step of your appointment.
Breanna Turner
Detnal Assistant
Breanna can freeze anything she touches into solid ice with a wave of her hand, which is arguably the most useful superpower a dental assistant could have. She spent years hiding her abilities behind a pair of gloves and the family motto “conceal, don’t feel,” before finally deciding to let it go, build herself a sparkling ice palace, and embrace it. She’s the reigning queen of a snowy Scandinavian kingdom, has a relentlessly optimistic younger sister and a talking snowman who dreams of summer, and yes, the cold has never bothered her anyway.
Elizabeth Collins
Dental Assistant
Elizabeth was born a mermaid and traded her voice to a sea witch for a pair of legs, which makes her exact approach to small talk during your cleaning truly remarkable. She has a famous head of red hair, an obsessive collection of gadgets and gizmos aplenty, and a tendency to style her hair with a fork. Daughter of a short-tempered sea king with a magic trident, she fell head over fins for a human prince after one shipwreck and never looked back. She’s still thrilled to be part of a world with this many shiny dental instruments.
Cheyenne Conklin
Dental Assistant
Cheyenne was personally chosen by the ocean, which keeps physically nudging her toward her destiny whether she likes it or not. She once sailed clear across the Pacific to return a glowing green stone to its rightful place, recruited a giant tattooed demigod with a magic fishhook as backup, and navigated by the stars the whole way. She travels with a rooster who has the intellectual capacity of a houseplant, has zero interest in a love story, and would like everyone to know how far she’ll go.
Carly Padilla
Dental Assistant
Carly disguised herself as a man and took her elderly father’s place in the army, which tells you everything about how she handles a tough day in the operatory. She trained a band of hopeless recruits into real soldiers, single-handedly buried an entire invading army under a well-aimed avalanche, and saved her whole country in the process — all with a wisecracking miniature dragon and a lucky cricket riding shotgun.
Lauren Collins
Dental Assistant
Lauren’s the bookish one in a small French village where everyone agrees she’s a little odd for always having her nose in a novel. She turned down the town’s most obnoxious eligible bachelor and instead found herself in an enchanted castle, falling for a short-tempered beast whose entire household staff has been transformed into furniture — a smooth-talking candelabra, an anxious mantel clock, a motherly teapot, and her little chipped teacup (who, frankly, could use our restorative work).
Kristi Patton
Dental Assistant
Kristi once kissed a frog hoping it would solve her problems and promptly turned into a frog herself, which is a good lesson in reading the fine print. She spent the adventure hopping around the Louisiana bayou, works harder than anyone you’ve ever met toward her dream of opening her own restaurant, and makes beignets worth crossing state lines for. Her whole philosophy is that you’re almost there as long as you keep working for it.
Yadhira Mercado
Dental Assistant
Yadhira has seventy feet of magical golden hair that glows and heals injuries when she sings, which makes her a natural fit for a healthcare setting. She was locked in a hidden tower for eighteen years by a woman pretending to be her mother, finally escaped with the help of a charming thief and a frying pan she wields like a weapon, and travels with a mute chameleon. She’s also the long-lost princess behind that sky full of floating lanterns everyone in the kingdom releases once a year.
