Dr. Michael Auld
General Dentist | Orthodontics | Implants | Sedation Dentistry
Born and raised in McAlester, Dr. Michael Auld is honored to care for the community he’s always called home. His dedication to excellence in dentistry is reflected in both his educational journey and his commitment to providing advanced, patient-centered care.
Education & Training:
- Salutatorian, McAlester High School
- Magna Cum Laude, B.S. in Biochemistry – Oklahoma Baptist University
- Doctor of Dental Surgery – University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry (with distinction)
- Graduate of the Kois Center for esthetic, implant, and restorative dentistry
- Advanced continuing education in Orthodontics and Dental Implants
- Trained under Dr. Stanley Malamed for IV sedation
- Practicing comprehensive orthodontics and implant dentistry since 2010
Dr. Auld has completed hundreds of successful orthodontic and implant cases, offering modern, predictable solutions for patients of all ages. His training in IV sedation helps ensure a relaxed, anxiety-free experience for those who may feel nervous about dental treatment.
Passionate about giving back, Dr. Auld serves on the board of Shared Blessings and actively supports local charities and community initiatives. He sees his practice as more than just a workplace—it’s a way to uplift the lives of others.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Auld is a devoted husband and father. He’s been married to his wife, Becky, since 2006, and together they have three children: Gwyneth, Natalie, and James. He enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and traveling with his family. Guided by his faith in Christ, he strives to live with purpose and compassion in every area of life.
Dr. Douglas Auld
General Dentist | Educator | Leader in Organized Dentistry
Dr. Douglas Auld is a highly respected figure in Oklahoma dentistry, known for his lifelong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and professional leadership. Over the course of his career, he has held numerous leadership roles that have shaped the direction of dentistry at the state and national levels.

- Doctor of Dental Surgery – University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry
- Associate Clinical Professor – University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry (2012–present)
- Extensive leadership roles in the Oklahoma Dental Association and American Dental Association
- Chair, Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM) – 2012
- Recipient of the James Saddoris Lifetime Achievement Award (2023)
- Fellow, Pierre Fauchard Academy, American College of Dentists, and International College of Dentists
- Multiple honors for professional service, including the ODA Distinguished Service Award and ADA Ethics Council Chair
In addition to serving as President, Speaker of the House, and committee leader within the Oklahoma Dental Association, Dr. Auld has represented Oklahoma as a Delegate to the American Dental Association and chaired several national ADA councils and task forces. His influence has extended to legislative advocacy, ethics, and governance within the profession.
He continues to contribute to dental education through his teaching role at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and has served multiple terms on its Admissions Committee. Dr. Auld has also supported organized dentistry at every level through leadership in DENPAC, ADPAC, and various service foundations.
At Auld Family Dentistry, Dr. Auld’s presence brings a deep sense of history, mentorship, and purpose. His work has elevated standards of care not only in McAlester, but across the state and country.
Dr. Clark Grilliot
General Dentist | Sedation & Surgical Dentistry
Dr. Clark Grilliot is another proud McAlester native, and he’s passionate about using his skills to care for the community where he grew up. His down-to-earth personality and commitment to excellence make him a valued part of our team.
Education & Credentials:
- Graduate, McAlester High School
- B.A., University of Oklahoma College of Arts and Sciences
- Doctor of Dental Surgery – University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry
- Certified in IV Moderate Sedation – Western Surgical and Sedation
- Certified in Impacted Third Molar Removal – Western Surgical and Sedation
- Hospital privileges – McAlester Regional Health Center (for treatment under general anesthesia)
Dr. Grilliot enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and takes a thoughtful, individualized approach to each patient. He is especially skilled in surgical procedures and sedation dentistry, providing care in both the office and hospital settings when needed.
Outside the office, Dr. Grilliot and his wife, Cassie, are raising three children—Holly, Joshua, and Maddox. Their family is actively involved at Renewal Church of McAlester, where they lead the Renewal Youth group and enjoy building community through small groups and service. You might also find them coaching, training at Thrive Athletic Club, or cheering their kids on at various activities.
